I believe that an idea articulated has to be expressed through something made with hands, my hands. All starts with a drawing. As Salvador Dali, my Master said: “Drawing is the honesty of the art. There is no possibility of cheating. It is either good or bad”. I find it a great aesthetic and intellectual discipline, which allows me to analyze my perception of the world. None of my sculptures would be imaginable without my ability to draw. Art is a constant dialogue between eye, mind and hand. It is an education in getting your hands dirty, in understanding why you made what you made, and owning the impact of it in the world.
