“A picture is worth thousand words” Napoleon
“Where the Spirit does not work with the Hand, there is no Art”. Leonardo da Vinci

To us artists is given the possibility to express the visible of the invisible, to allow the mysterious to be transformed into image. The capacity to discover, create, irradiate something with the fire of beauty has an analogy with the beauty of divine fire. There is an ethic, a “spirituality” of the artistic creation, which contributes to life and to the salvation of humanity. Napoleon said that a picture is worth 1000 words, and Horace considered a picture a poem without words. In my over 40 years of artistic creation I have always tried to get to the bottom of our human condition. I tried to find answers to the challenges we have to address in our daily life in an almost scientific way, as expressed by Leonardo da Vinci, for whom art is the queen of all sciences. When I created the marble folds of my Cloak to rival those of Michelangelo and Bernini, I followed my instincts and my artistic convictions. The Cloak has become the pivotal point that dominates my latest creations. As the symbol of conscience and ethics, the Cloak preconceives the content of my Chromatology paintings and the sculptures displayed therein. I attempt therein to deal with the burning issues of our time, in an artistic language comprehensible for everyone, my “Conscience Art”. I want to stimulate the reflection about our relationship with other people, the earth, history, the divine and destiny, without any preconceived dogma. This is also the reason why I have aided explanatory texts, despite Napoleons words. I want these paintings to be a modest help for everyone to reflect on his personal condition during the short passage in this world and the ways to give a new sense to his existence.

“I believe deeply in the values of Beauty, Kindness and Truth. I believe that it is urgent for the survival of hu-manity to create a renewed sense of ethics, once a domain of religions, and to create an economic system which gives a fair chance to everybody, functioning without plundering the non-renewable resources of our mother Earth, and without destroying the environment, our Nest. It is conscience, our inner sense of what is right or wrong, which controls or inhibits our actions and thoughts, that gave me the courage to create with the Cloak the universal Symbol for Peace, and Solidarity”.
