Anna Chromy was invited by the City of Guangzhou (Canton) as Guest of Honor to the Art Fair 2005.

The City authorities had decided to use the sculpture “Danube” or “Violin Player” of Anna as the visual emblem of the Fair and used it extensively in all areas of public transportation, from the International Airport to the Metropolitan Subway Stations and the major Bus Stops.
This tremendous promotion made Anna Chromy an instant celebrity in China, leading to the acquisition of two large works by the Museum of Modern Art of the city, and many other developments like the 2008 individual show in Beijing and more.
